William and Kate continue mental health mission with Luton visit

At the Keech Hospice, which helps terminally ill children and their families, William admitted he misses his mum Diana "every day".

Jamie and Ethan Coniam, who are 10 and six, lost their brother Kieran when he was 10 after a battle with cerebal palsy, epilepsy and autism.

The pair presented the royal couple with a "memory jar", to which they can add coloured sand to represent individual memories of a person.

Before they parted company, Ethan asked Kate if he could have a hug.

The Youthscape charity specialises in young people's social, emotional and spiritual development.

While out with Prince William at a visit with teens at the Youthscape project in Luton on Wednesday, the Duchess of Cambridge toured the facility's kitchen and gave away some information about Prince George's baking skills in the process.

"What happened should never have happened to you and you should never have gone through it", he told the 18-year-old. "London 2012 was a hard act to follow, but you have made the entire country proud of everything you have accomplished", they said. "Knowing this, both William and I feel very strongly that we wouldn't hesitate to get expert support for George and Charlotte if they need it".

Miss Jones, who lost her mum aged 14, said she was thankful for Prince William's kind words, especially as he also lost his mum at a similar age.

In the first half of the 1900's, pools were built across the United States, but segregation kept black Americans from joining. Manuel broke down in tears when she recognized her historic achievement in a sport that still has few African-Americans.

The charity works with young people on mental health and emotional wellbeing, as well as training youth workers.

The trio are avid sports fans, with William the president of the Football Association, Kate a patron for Sportsaid and Harry the founder of the Invictus Games.

William jokingly said after his celebration: "What?"

"They are, quite simply, rather fabulous, as I'm sure you've found".

They will also meet the OM Group, Our Minds Matter (OMM), Luton Council of Faiths and Grassroots, who are working together to raise awareness and address stigma in the field of mental health among faith groups in the area.

The Royal visit to Luton also coincides with Hayward Tyler being awarded the Queen's Award for Enterprise In International Trade, the UK's highest accolade for overseas trading and commercial success.

Kate Middleton, 34, looked sun-kissed after a recent holiday in France - arriving at the Youthscape Centre in Luton wearing a recycled high street dress by L.K. Bennett.

The high street dress she wore today was last seen when she and Wills visited a Royal Australian Air Force base near Brisbane in April 2014 and Kate climbed into the cockpit of an FA/18 jet bomber.
