Cauvery protests: Indian, foreign companies resume operations in Bengaluru

A curfew was imposed in 16 areas of Bengaluru city until September 14 after mobs vandalized vehicles and protested the court order, NDTV reported Tuesday, citing police.

A large number of youths from Tamil Nadu are employed in several IT companies in Bengaluru, she said and sought the intervention of the Karnataka Chief Minister in ensuring their safety and protection from untoward incidents.

Balaji suggested the governments of Tamil Nadu and Karntataka to arrest the "madmen" perpetrating violence in both states.
