And Trump's obvious repetition wasn't the GOP nominee's only issue, as "Late Show" host Stephen Colbert pointed out.

While they all teed off on Trump, Colbert said that the first whopper in the 90 minute verbal slug-fest Monday night came from Hillary Clinton.

Trump quickly followed up with a far bigger lie, Colbert said. "There's no room in there-it's already full of ethnic slurs and different wife names", mused the host.

The Late Show with Stephen Colbert did a special live episode immediately following Monday night's debate.

Referring to Trump, Colbert joked: "He may not have prepared, but it looked like he didn't".

Without commenting directly on Mr. Fallon's program, Mr. Colbert said, "I've surrendered to my natural instincts, and to how I actually feel on a daily basis". The show went well, and Colbert had plenty of material to talk about, especially with some of the antics from Trump. He was harder on Trump, identifying what he calls "Truth Trump", which is Trump in small moments when he lets the bluster slip and says something honest, like bragging about how he cheats on his taxes or admitting he only pretended to start caring about black people in the last "little while". The Late Show star also revealed Trump is polling very well in Narnia and has a firm endorsement from The Lollipop Guild, after noting Trump boasted he won a CBS poll about the debate - despite CBS saying it did not conduct a post-debate poll. "So that would make Hillary 26 years old?"
