The shocking truth about Renee Zellweger's face in Bridget Jones's Baby

"Bridget Jones's Baby", which opens in theaters September 16, rates 5 stars.

Actress Renee Zellweger returns to the role of clumsy-but-lovable Bridget Jones in the new film "Bridget Jones's Diary", which revolves around Bridget being unsure who the father of her unborn child is.

Actress Renee Zellweger said Wednesday she was up for playing hapless British singleton Bridget Jones's misadventures right to the nursing home. (Events from that 2004 installment, which was deftly directed by Beeban Kidron, have been expunged from the current Bridget Jones universe, which references only the 2001 original.) In Fielding's 2005-06 columns, Bridget and her friends are unchanged in their 40s. That wouldn't be so bad except Bridget doesn't know if the baby's father is Mark or Jack.

Corbyn and Smith clash over Brexit, unity and anti-Semitism in BBC hustings
Last night Corbyn said: "When the election is over and if I am elected leader of the party, I hope the MPs will come together". Corbyn called Smith's accusations unfair, and said that he, like Smith, had "opposed antisemitism all my life".

The much-anticipated third installment of the Bridget Jones franchise also welcomes Academy Award victor Emma Thompson to the cast. Writers Emma Thompson, Dan Mazur, and Fielding herself, have an absolute ball showcasing a more thoughtful, successful Bridget - while festooning the film with a confetti of nostalgia.

A lot has changed in the 15 years since Renée Zellweger charmed and delighted us by turning from a drawling Texan into quirky Brit, Bridget Jones. Also attending the service is the second love of her life, Mark Darcy, played by Colin Firth. Bridget Jones, as both a character and romcom juggernaut, shouldn't be faulted for celebrating this pursuit. Especially when even her fabulous and over-zealous crew of fellow alcoholics - Shazzer, Jude and Tom - have managed to settle down and enter the life of babies and mortgages. "But I would love for it to go on.to watch this lot grow old". Darcy's dry wit is well suited to the more grown-up Bridget Jones's Baby, and his defense of a Pussy Riot-like band pays off in delightfully droll ways.

In an interview with the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Of course (I missed him)". The jokes, such as they are, are really not that amusing - thank god for Emma Thompson! - and the idea of throwing a cameo in from Ed Sheeran feels very out of place. Not as good as Hugh Grant's sly-eyed elevator scene in "Bridget Jones's Diary" - really, is anything as good as Hugh Grant's sly-eyed elevator scene in "Bridget Jones's Diary"? - but better than a Christmas sweater or a Turkey Curry Buffet. "It is so much fun, and to be back with everybody, all my friends, on the set, I mean, heaven!" Hats off to the ever-smiling Gemma Jones, who, after all this years, still has not lost her fervour and continues to wave the flag for those effortlessly cool moms, who, even in their seventies, still have inexhaustible amounts of energy to give to the world. And what I hadn't learned at that point and should have a long, long time ago - but for some of us takes a little bit longer - is how to take care of myself with respect to acknowledging limitations and boundaries.
