Army camp attacked in Baramulla, gunfight on

Rebels have attacked an Indian army camp and BSF camp in Janbazpora area of Baramulla district, in north Kashmir.

According to officials, the attack started around 10.30 p.m. when the fidayeen tried to enter the camp.

Reports said two soldiers were injured in the ongoing assault, and that about four-five militants were holed up.

The Army camp is located in the old town of Baramulla. They then took positions on the banks of the Jhelum river, the Baramulla police control room said.

The situation at the Rashtriya Rifles camp was later contained, the Northern Command of Indian Army said.

And Trump's obvious repetition wasn't the GOP nominee's only issue, as " Late Show " host Stephen Colbert pointed out. The show went well, and Colbert had plenty of material to talk about, especially with some of the antics from Trump.

The camp is located on the outskirts of Baramulla city, 54 kms from here.

Reports suggest that two soldiers have also been injured and they have been removed to safe locations where doctors were attending to them.

This is just the latest skirmish in two weeks between Indian forces and militants, which New Delhi claims are armed and trained by Pakistan. On Sept. 18, suspected rebels using guns and grenades sneaked into an army base in Uri, a town in Indian-controlled Kashmir, and killed at least 18 soldiers. "Prayers for all in the area".

The attack comes despite intelligence inputs about possible terrorist attacks on security installations in Jammu and Kashmir after the Indian army carried out surgical strikes on September 29. On Saturday, Pakistani troops fired at Indian posts and civilian areas with mortar bombs, rocket-propelled grenades and heavy-machine guns in Pallanwala and Chamb areas.

Pakistan claimed India had resorted to unprovoked shelling across the border, rather than conducting surgical strikes.
