Trump takes a break

Although the developer-slash-candidate and his daughter Ivanka lauded Washington, D.C., and its history in their remarks, they were not well-received by the locals.

With just 13 days to go before Americans choose a new president, Republican contender Donald Trump took a brief break from campaigning Wednesday to promote his new hotel in Washington, not far from the White House.

The hotel, Trump said, "is a metaphor for what we can accomplish for this country". Cox said he's been an unwavering Trump booster ever since he announced his candidacy previous year.

Donald Trump was three blocks away from the White House Wednesday, and President Obama's spokesman implied the Republican nominee will never get any closer to the presidency.

Of course, over the past year, Mr. Trump has revealed more and more pieces of that really ugly, dirty iceberg.

"That's what we do - under budget and ahead of schedule". We caught up with Gingrich, who said he hadn't yet rested his head on the hotel's high thread-count sheets.

Trump made a halfhearted mention of campaign issues - denouncing Obamacare and praising surrogate Newt Gingrich for his Fox News interview in which he told Megyn Kelly she is "fascinated with sex" - but was mostly campaigning for his hotel: "The best location. a true American original. a magnificent place. largest luxury ballroom in Washington". He even put Trump branded products on display at an event in March.

Trump had met with GOP lawmakers that day, perhaps in an effort to build a relationship with the Republican Party. While representatives of the AFL-CIO and the ANSWER Coalition outside that Trump was racist and unfit for the presidency, security guards stood watch by a temporary metal fence in front of the entrance.

"It's going to be one of the great hotels of the world", Trump declared.

At the hotel, Trump ticked off a litany of favorite talking points: cost overruns and poor services at the "Veterans Administration", referring to the Department of Veterans Affairs; decaying infrastructure; a "depleted" military; and rising Obamacare premiums, which he tied to Clinton.

But that didn't stop the 70-year-old real estate magnate from hitting pause on the campaign to fete the opening of his latest hotel property in D.C., which he's devoted plenty of time plugging already. Please sit down. Nice hotel.

He said that Trump has "got to make the case that he brings in things under budget and ahead of schedule. #ImWithHer", Andrés before Trump took the stage at his hotel.

After going scoreless in their last 21 innings, the Cubs started to break out of their doldrums with Ben Zobrist's bunt single. Two, they feel they are saving money on health insurance because they think I will have all my expenses covered by Medicare.

"We're very proud of this".

While Trump has credited his strong balance sheet for helping him win the bidding on the property, in the end he won the bid because he grossly outbid everyone else, CBS News Travel Editor Peter Greenberg pointed out in an interview with CBSN.

DONALD TRUMP: Congratulations, Newt, on last night. Polls show Trump trailing Democratic rival Hillary Clinton in key battleground states.

Trump is ready to spend his cash: Trump said Wednesday he is prepared to open up his wallet and donate considerably more to his campaign in the closing days of the race, reports CNN. Eleanor Holmes Norton wielded golden shovels and posted for photos with the magnate, Ivanka and two of his sons, Don Jr. and Eric. The AFL-CIO labor federation, which includes 55 unions representing 12.5 million workers, is expected to endorse the boycott, which would discourage union workers and their allies from patronizing certain Trump hotels and golf courses.

He praised the United Kingdom, saying voters there has "taken back their independence". "Can he be taking time out like that?"

The U.S. elects its presidents through contests in each of the 50 states and the national capital, Washington, with the most populous states, Florida among them, having the biggest influence on the outcome, rather than through a national popular vote. "The people of Scotland are incredible people".

On Trump Steaks: "We have Trump steaks. You don't take a time-out to tend to your business interests".

"We can't make any of this happen if we don't have you voting", Clinton said in Tampa Wednesday. Trump sued, and Andres countersued, and the matter still isn't settled.

"He is tapping into a sentiment that the economy is not working for everybody, and I think thats valid", Jimenez conceded.

On Trump University: "Their report cards were all excellent, lovely statements".

"This was a huge opportunity to do that and Trump has gone completely the other direction", he said. "It's going to do very well and it will continue to do very well".
