Latest episode of 'The Walking Dead' confirms main character as gay

"That would be awesome, if it came out of left field and it was someone a bit more unexpected". "OK, you go in - I'll see you later!"

This time, it's a particularly rare commodity in the post-apocalypse: a doctor.

"It would be interesting if AMC could spin off a show that starts with the Saviors and tries to make them the protagonists and then loops it back in to where "Walking Dead" is and see if people would be like, 'Oh my God, now I'm totally on board with these guys", Hardwick said.

Back at Hilltop, Gregory threatens to sic the Saviors on Jesus.

And for a moment, it looks like Gregory might actually rise to the occasion.

Castmembers also admitted they aren't above lobbying producers to have their characters be the one to end Negan. I always get annoyed when a TV character who's lost a spouse has to comfort someone else just because that someone else is a more prominent character, but underneath his leather jacket we know Daryl is a big softie, and watching him cry always tugs at the heartstrings.

Daryl spent half the episode hiding out from the Saviors with Maggie. Enid rushes Daryl and Maggie into a root cellar to hide, where Maggie insists she and Daryl hide behind shelves and other things. And that's when the waterworks start.

Sunday's (March 19) episode of "The Walking Dead" ended on a heart-pounding cliffhanger, leaving everyone wondering whether Sasha (Sonequa Martin-Green) had died. "That's what Glenn thought". They have a good talk, ending with a warm, tearful hug, and Maggie assuring him that she wants them all to die, too, but "we need to win".

Ever since Glenn was beaten to death by Negan in the premiere of The Walking Dead's seventh season, unspoken words have seemed to fill the air between Daryl and Maggie.

As seen in the sneak peek footage, during Episode 15 Maggie and Gregory have a tense discussion outside the walls of the Hilltop about the future of the community. Rosita is operating on anger and Sasha seems to be operating out a necessity to square the universe. Some fans are still hopeful that Rosita and Sasha will be able to survive Negan's counter attack, while others are ready to move on. Second, something has to force the opposing sides into all-out war. Eventually, she's killed, and her death's reveal puts Rick and the gang in serious trouble. There's an element of strategy in this plan, too; without the galvanizing power of Negan, there's a chance the Saviors would devolve into chaotic in-fighting and defeat themselves. He might not tell Negan, but he does play the part of an incredibly cowardly person who's comfortable in his new Savior role.

In Sunday's episode, "The Other Side", Jesus chats with Maggie (Lauren Cohan) near the beginning of the episode. So when the situation at the Savior's fence goes down, and Eugene cowers back into the complex without threatening to out them to his new overlord, Sasha's choice feels more plot driven than organic to the situation. He talks about Hilltop, saying, "When I was first here, I was never here. Seriously, I've got to be on-set for Star Trek: Discovery in a few weeks".

To no one's surprise, it does not go down well. Eugene quickly deduced they planned on poisoning Negan.

On the flipside, I'm not buying why Sasha, after Rosita's revelations, felt either of them had to make this a suicide mission.

But Sasha has one last secret plan in store. To recap, the recent episode saw Rosita recruit Sasha for a Negan assassination mission, which Sasha willingly joined. "It's not your time", she tells Rosita. In true to the comics form, it appears Sasha has been taken prisoner by the Saviors, filling out the path left for her by Holly, the character who was dating Abraham at the time of his death in Robert Kirkman's original books. On a show that kills off this many characters, that's probably the best you can hope for.
