Chicago Bears make another trade, draft TE Shaheen

Cohen has been a social media sensation for videos of not only his highlight reels, but also his ability to catch passes while making a backflip, something that came out of boredom one summer.

Just last month, the Bears signed former Tampa Bay Buccaneers backup quarterback Mike Glennon to a three-year, $45 million contract that guarantees Glennon $18.5 million in the first 12 months.

Chicago gave up a lot to the San Francisco 49ers just to move up from No. 3 overall to No 2 in order to select Trubisky. Even the Washington football team, whose multi-pick surrender to draft the eventually disappointing Robert Griffin III in 2012, had much greater reason to expect big things from their pick than the Bears seemingly do.

"No, I haven't talked to Mike yet, but I'm very excited to work with him and the rest of the quarterbacks here", Trubisky said. "And these are the moves you have to make". The Bears landed the quarterback they wanted.

"You're the face of the franchise, so everything you do is going to be under a microscope", Trubisky said.

Trubisky is seen as one of the best quarterbacks available in the 2017 NFL Draft and the Bears took it.

It was initially believed the 49ers had multiple teams bidding for the second pick which ultimately drove up the price.

Silence of the Lambs director Jonathan Demme dies
The film worked because it was not about Hughes but about Dumont, played by Paul Le Mat (one of Demme's favorite actors). The director of Talking Heads" legendary concert film " Stop Making Sense " and "Silence Of The Lambs' has died aged 73.

While it didn't appear as if the Bears were high on Trubisky, they kept their liking for the quarterback a secret until the big drat day trade.

But let's take a moment to actually look at Trubisky and what expectations should be for him in Chicago.

But do you think the Bears were unaware of that possibility?

A strong case could have been made for trading down to add picks rather than move up.

Mitchell Trubisky, who the Chicago Bears picked second overall in the NFL Draft on Thursday got the opposite of a warm welcome from his new home town Friday when he attended the Bulls-Celtics game and got booed.

In what could be interpreted as a vote of confidence in Centennial graduate Cody Kessler, the Cleveland Browns, with three picks in Thursday's first round of the National Football League draft, declined to select a quarterback with any of them. "We feel we have the flawless environment for his development".

They moved those picks to land their guy - the guy, in their eyes. So when you have an opportunity to get a quarterback of this caliber, you can't pass on it. It was his first public appearance since being selected by the Bears in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft.
