Puerto Rico is still reeling from the devastating effects of Hurricane Maria, with one Puerto Rico resident calling the destruction, "the equivalent of an atomic blast".

A federal state of emergency has been declared on the island and the governor Governor Rosselló announced a nighttime curfew on the island to last until the end of last week.

Destroyed by Hurricane Maria, the storm ripped through the island of three and a half million people.

"The compound took a very heavy hit here where we're at".

An Air National Guard unit from ME is deploying to the U.S. Virgin Islands to provide critical communications to support the recovery efforts.
