Heinrich Klaasen: I didn't have tickets to come to the 'Pink Day'

Previously, Sourav Ganguly was the last Indian to miss out on the milestone, after getting dismissed on 97 in a 1999 World Cup match against South Africa in Hove. ICC Match Referee Andy Pycroft imposed the fine after Aiden Markram's side was ruled to be one over short of their target when time allowances were taken into consideration. On the fast Wanderers deck it was always going to be more of a matter of keeping wickets in hand than keeping up with the rate. South Africa cannot win this series but they have maintained their wonderful Pink ODI record and at least have a chance to draw the series three all, if they can win the remaining two matches. The batsmen were tied to the crease as both the #spinners scalped eight wickets between them. At the centre of it all was a newbie.

Andile Phehlukwayo hit 23 not out off just five balls to seal the match for the hosts.

Dhawan and Kohli then came together, replicating their success from previous matches in the series. MS Dhoni's 43-ball 42 gave the visitors some much-needed impetus in the last few overs. "Best feeling in my career", the 26-year old gushed at the presentation.

Miller found the ropes three times in succession off Pandya in the next set of six and Klaasen, making just his second global appearance, launched a monster of a maximum well over long-on as the tide turned. The field had sort of given it away, and Klaasen kept shuffling well wide, sometimes even hitting balls that would otherwise have been called wides. So the captain thought the spinners could take the wickets. David Miller was a prime recipient - surviving once due to a dropped catch and then due to a no-ball - and he made his chances count.

India, captained by Sachin Tendulkar in 1997, managed just 179 for 9 in 50 overs with Rahul Dravid and Azharuddin scoring half-centuries.

"We weren't sure what to do, we were leaning towards bowling first". He was also announced as the player of the match.

Those cameos put the highest scorer of the day wondering what if. The first, with the team 200 for 2 in 34.2 overs and Shikhar Dhawan past a century, meant that when play resumed the batsmen had to find their rhythm again, a futile effort as it turned out.

Mou: United must be better next season
We were first for a few weeks and then we were always second, I don't remember us being fourth, fifth or sixth. You can not deny and everyone knows here in England how complicated it is playing at Burnley .

Catch all the action from the 4th "Pink" ODI from the Wanderers at Johannesburg on Saturday, 10th February, 4:30 PM IST, 1:00 PM local time. Dhawan made 69 runs in the arc from long-on to long leg, and only 21 between long-off and third man.

Klaasen said that it was a huge personal achievement for him to take South Africa to victory after having scored just 6 runs on his ODI debut at Cape Town.

The Kohli six was perhaps the shot of the series.

Led by skipper Virat Kohli's unbeaten 160, India mounted a total of 303.

The left handed opening batsman scored 109 from 105 balls.

Since flying in ahead of the ODIs, Shreyas Iyer has been amongst those with most batting time in the nets. With Rabada in charge of the final 10 overs, India could scramble only 59 runs. On the night, though, Chahal didn't have that control - again the wet ball plays a part - and Klaasen too got the better of him, mainly by targeting the tiny leg-side boundary.
