Wenger: Arsenal can beat Bayern Munich if we do this on Wednesday

Ozil will be looking to prove Keown wrong when Arsenal travel to Germany to take on Bayern Munich in the first leg of their Champions League round of 16 tie.

It's certainly a huge call to make and given Cech's questionable form this season, I don't think too many fans will be disappointed to see Ospina starting against Bayern. Arsenal had finally won a group, only to be paired once again with a Bayern team that knocked them out of the competition in 2013 and 2014.

Prior to the game at Bayern, Wenger admitted that his side will have to keep a tight defence versus the Bundesliga holders despite their wretched run of form in the league of late.

With a third of the German league season still to play, Bayern hold a commanding seven-point lead as all their main rivals lost at the weekend. It's not like we have five, six more years left.

But it is believed that Wenger has been swayed by recent concerns over Cech's form, adopting the view that there is now not much to choose between the two despite the former Chelsea 'keeper's vast experience as a former Champions League victor. "That would be a good night for us".

Twickenham Truths: Sub-plot saves England record, George Ford stalling
He did the same again six minutes before the break but Lopez let England off this time by sending his kick wide of the posts. Such an effective weapon for both teams in the past, it's a shame to see the maul fail so badly in this match.

Chilean Alexis Sanchez scored both goals against Hull but his own future is equally unclear and Wenger knows that a good result in Munich will go a long way in pushing these issues into the background.

"The blame culture is part of the perception of people as you say, but what is important is that we show a united front".

Bayern Munich will be without in-form winger Franck Ribery and central defender Jerome Boateng for their Champions League clash against Arsenal on Wednesday.

There are rumours that the 67-year-old may also drop Mesut Ozil and go with Xhaka, Francis Coquelin and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in the middle. If we play our game then Arsenal probably won't get many chances.
