Disputed Griezmann penalty gives Atletico edge over Leicester

Leicester City will look to send another shock wave through world football in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie against Atletico Madrid on Thursday morning.

Leicester City have a significant amount of work to do if their Champions League fairytale is to continue after they were beaten 1-0 away by Atletico Madrid in the first leg of their quarter-final tie tonight.

Griezmann was the standout performer and almost added an assist to the only goal but Angel Correa couldn't quite stretch to reach his risky low cross 17 minutes from time.

It was deja vu for Leicester after another dubious penalty at the Vicente Calderon helped knock them out of the UEFA Cup in 1997. We know that the game will be very tough against a rival that is similar to us.

"We didn't come to try to get a point, the team were picked to try to get three points".

"It's a decision that's hard to take when it's so clear and so obvious".

As much as I'd like to, I can't see Leicester getting any change out of them here. "We're aware of what we've got to do in the second leg". Despite most likely being without Wes Morgan in the back they will be an immediate threat to Atletico Madrid on the counter.

Tesla passes GM to become most valuable U.S. vehicle company
In other Tesla news, VP John Douglas Field sold 1,000 shares of the business's stock in a transaction dated Tuesday, January 10th. Currently, the electric vehicle maker might struggle to get past the psychological level of $300-mark in the stock price.

"We are here to compete, we are not here to make the numbers up. They will be two very challenging games".

"We're kind of thriving at the minute", Leicester midfielder Danny Drinkwater said. "It was definitely a foul, but it was outside the box". In the home game the Spanish team was unable to score, but she did not miss.

Leicester interest is debatable, Mundo Deportivo have claimed the approach as part of their build up to the Atletico match. Atletico has conceded only two goals in its last seven games.

However, Leicester have just had their six-game unbeaten run broken with a 4-2 loss to Everton in their last fixture, after giving up a 2-1 lead at Goodison Park.

The Premier League champions, meanwhile, struggled to carve out any more clear-cut chances in the opening 45 minutes and went into the break trailing.

Last season's beaten finalists - losing on penalties to Real Madrid - are three times runners-up and have made the final twice in the last three seasons.
