Wednesday's executive order won't have an immediate effect - it simply called for Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke to review monuments designated in the last 21 years, which Zinke said were designated without input from affected communities.
On April 26, 2017, President Trump ordered federal officials to review designations of onshore and marine national monuments made under the Antiquities Act of 1906.
At a news conference, he said this would "end another egregious abuse of power and [give] that power back to the states and the people where it [belonged]". Republican President George W. Bush, designated seven national monuments during his tenure, including several that meet the criteria for review under the executive order.
Trump's order requires a review of monuments that were created since 1996, that are at least 100,000 acres, or lacked "adequate public outreach and coordination with relevant stakeholders".
Our National Monuments were established after extensive public input because they provide unique and irreplaceable cultural, ecological, economic and recreational value worth protecting for our children and our grandchildren.

Setting up in front of Davis, Hector Rondon and Carl Edwards Jr. have combined to allow one run and three hits in 15.1 innings. Jose Martinez tied the game with his first homer, a two run shot to right in the 7th, making it a 4-4 game.
The president framed the order as a way to return power to states and individuals, after former President Obama and his predecessors blocked development on hundreds of millions of acres of federal land and water by creating monuments.
With this order, anti-public land extremism rooted in Utah now casts its shadow over Montana, threatening our outdoor way of life, our public lands, and the business owners and ranchers whose livelihoods depend on those lands. In New Mexico, Obama's designation of Rio Grande del Norte National Monument and Organ Mountains-Desert Peaks National Monument have preserved important lands while boosting the economy, Heinrich said, a story that has been repeated across the country. That's not only a brazen attack on the 111-year-old Antiquities Act under which those monuments were designated but also a barefaced betrayal of the American people.
The National Parks Service reported that 42 million of its park visitors in California spent $2 billion during their visit in 2016.
"Let's be clear", Zinke said Wednesday. "I will oppose any effort to dismantle the Antiquities Act".
She runs the Public Lands Program at the Tucson-based Center for Biological Diversity. It also threatens our culture, history, and outdoor heritage - the parts of our national and regional identity that monuments are designated to protect. "Under the President's leadership, I will work with local, state and Tribal governments to review monument designations made the past 20 years and make sure they work for the local communities". The report will determine if any monuments would benefit from being dismantled or resized. Although the Sabinoso is public land, it is surrounded by private property owners who have declined to allow public access, leaving them and their friends what amounts to a private wilderness area that borders the Canadian River and features cliffs and 1,000-foot-deep canyons home to numerous wildlife species.
Ahkello Witherspoon out of Colorado. "Guys who can do multiple things", he said with a sly smile, echoing Harris' pick. This feels like one of those rumors floated out there by the team to try and drive up interest in its pick.
It's basically, "Our heroes are attacked and they run away in different directions and there's not really an ending". Those familiar with the Guardians comic book adventures know that Ego is not Star-Lord's father in the comics.
Kennedy holds the highest approval rating of all presidents at 74 percent, 33 points higher than the mark now registered by Trump. Until Trump, only Johnson and Ronald Reagan were considered effective in their first 100 days.
We all know the Capitals are the better team here and could easily win this game on the road to avoid a game seven. "That's how the series is going to be and we've got to find a way to pull off one or two wins here", Kadri said.
If Harden gets a three-shot foul I'll be stunned. "Well a lot of times that (recency bias) happens", D'Antoni said by phone. Last season the Rockets needed to win their final regular-season game to make the postseason and reach a 41-41 record.
Based on overall profits, roughly 85 percent of the net income reported by the group was taxed at less than the 35 percent rate. Fourth, the tax plan - especially when coupled with Trump's budget proposals - is enormously regressive.

The Jazz tried to do it with Hill on a couple occasions, so don't be surprised if they do it more in Game 3 and possibly beyond. The Jazz could do nothing to stop it with starting center Rudy Gobert out of the lineup with a left knee injury.
Mitchell Trubisky 'couldn't believe' Bears drafted him
The Bears are banking on some big payoffs, and they have little room for error after finishing last in the NFC North at 3-13. Despite the need for talent at many roster spots, the fact the Bears would draft a quarterback wasn't a complete shock.
Chicago Bears make another trade, draft TE Shaheen
Chicago gave up a lot to the San Francisco 49ers just to move up from No. 3 overall to No 2 in order to select Trubisky. It was initially believed the 49ers had multiple teams bidding for the second pick which ultimately drove up the price.

Nintendo Switch sales reach 2.74m within 2 months
The Switch also has a strong lineup of games for the rest of the year, which could easily keep the console selling strongly. Hardware limitations haven't stopped them in the past, I'm sure if anyone can design around them for VR then Nintendo can.

Armenian-Americans march in LA to seek genocide recognition
What is common in both countries is that their people focus on the wording used by the world leaders - particularly that of U.S. Unlike some others, however, Obama pledged unambiguously while campaigning for the presidency to call the episode a genocide.
