Cavs try to adjust on both ends after Game 1 beating

It was a triple-double history making night Sunday when the Warriors' beat the Cavaliers 132-113 in Game 2 of the NBA Finals.

At this point, it's not that the Cavs and Warriors are in a league by themselves. And that would be to win just one game. LeBron made multiple mistakes passing into these rotations, which cost them numerous points on the other end. Off the court the addition has had a ripple effect. Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant and company have appeared to hit their stride at the right time. Durant has picked things up from Curry. Not one of those guys has even turned 30.

“Thats not a big deal at all, ” Thompson said. "As the game went on we got more comfortable, shots started to fall and the ball was hopping, and that's the formula for us to be successful against this Cavs team". The Warriors are in their third straight Finals and look poised to win their second championship.

"Even though it's an empty gym after practice, a something like Game 36 of the regular season, it's the same process". They're going to try to get more offensive rebounds. As the series went on, and a 3-1 lead slipped away, Curry grew more frustrated. "I was just kind of like a chicken with my head cut off, just running circles". Even LeBron James, an all-time trump card, can only do so much against the armada the Warriors have assembled.

Durant was no different when he arrived. Tonight was a game based on talent.

Cavaliers coach Tyronn Lue noted afterward it's been a while since his team had seen the Warriors, and that experience is bound to help. "It doesn't make a difference what jersey you wear". They'll do so knowing that the Splash Brothers are living up to their name.

It will be interesting to see how the Cavaliers come out Sunday. He's like a robot.

"I know (Durant's) ready for that challenge", Curry said of the matchup with James, the reigning Finals MVP. "And it is with him". "I saw (actor) Kevin Hart on the sidelines". Still, it took the mighty Warriors six games to finally vanquish a vastly outmanned Cavalier squad.

Lue: Cavs' Irving feeling 'good' after Game 4 ankle injury
That honor belonged to Kyrie Irving , who picked up his team when James went to the bench in the second quarter with four fouls. Schools close down, pollen kicks in, the neighborhood pool opens for the season, and LeBron James goes back to the NBA Finals.

"It just speaks volumes to who he is as a player". I think there's another level that I can get to.

Much was made of how it would be incorporating another alpha-male into the Warriors locker room.

"It's been pretty natural, really", Curry said. We saw what happened a year ago. He's an efficient basketball player. Curry darted first toward the baseline, where James seemed to hem him in.

The Warriors are exhausted of being a meme, they spent a summer hearing about 3-1, and now they're on a mission to go 16-0 in the playoffs and turn the league that mocked them into a laughingstock.

Kevin Love scored 27 points for the Cavaliers while Kyrie Irving added 19 in a losing cause.

He wasn't particularly impactful on either end in Game 1 finishing with zero points, four rebounds and a minus-13. He was ejected in Game 6, and wasn't himself in Game 7. I did that, and feeling well enough to coach. Irving and Love will be feeling the pressure to make better decisions, but others including Thompson, Iman Shumpert, JR Smith and Kyle Korver must stand up or it could be another blowout. "You just can't forecast that". As promised, they played faster and cleaner, getting their possessions up and turnovers down. "One guy that has the winning background as a shooter, and I got the guy for you, the guy you can have".

There are no changes to the starting lineups from Game 1 for either team, which is not a surprise.
