Curry, Durant lead Warriors to 2-0 lead with 132-113 rout

One game into these NBA Finals, and it is statement time for the Warriors and the Cavaliers. These Finals are about many things - Kevin Durant's coronation as a champion in this league, Draymond Green looking to atone for last year's Finals suspension - but it's also about Curry and Klay Thompson redeeming themselves for last year's Finals performance. Kerr, who said before the game that he made the decision to step in for assistant Mike Brown on Sunday morning, was greeted by the Oracle Crowd with a standing ovation, and he responded with a grateful wave.

That's been quite evident through two games. It was one of the most complete Finals games he's ever played, and that catalog is reasonably extensive by now.

The Warriors lead the best-of-7 series 1-0 after winning 113-91 in Game 1 on Thursday. Curry recorded his first career postseason triple-double with 32 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds, while Durant contributed 33 points, 13 rebounds, six assists and five blocks and is suddenly on the cusp of his first ring.

"It was just great to be on the sidelines again", said Kerr, who plans to coach the remainder of the series after struggling with a serious back condition. They go small, you go small, Durant was playing center for some time. But we've still got to play.

LeBron committed six of his eight miscues, and Kyrie three of four, in the first stanza as the Warriors outscored Cleveland, 11-4, on the break before halftime. If you can't punish them when the Warriors go small, then you are nearly certain to lose the pace and shooting game, which is exactly what happened in Game 1.

Kerr then echoed his point guard: "Heading to Cleveland, we're going to have to be a lot smarter. And they still beat us pretty good". "And you are talking two of the greatest players that we got in this world locked in the way they are, that's why we're up 2-0". Curry scanned the box score after the game, skipped past his triple-double, and pointed out his eight turnovers as an area he needs to shore up. You kind of know that he's going to dominate the game, and you try to do - there's certain spots on the floor that we have rules and you try to give that stuff to the players and but they just got to do their best and see what happens.

Conte says he'll stay at Premier League champion Chelsea
Conte intimated that he doesn't expect Chelsea to make a big splash in the transfer market. Arsenal look re-energised following Wenger's tactical switch from a 4-2-3-1 to a 3-4-1-2.

Go forensic on the stats, the lineups, the rotations, the play calls if you like, it's going to come down to the same endpoint.

He was even seen huffing and puffing as he went to the bench at one point in the third quarter. The Warriors followed with a 16-4 run that included 3-pointers from Curry and Thompson, a three-point play from Durant in transition and four points from Shaun Livingston.

"I'm not a past guy too much", James said. "That's what Golden State does. When I'm done, I'll probably look back on it and say it was a cool feat". The two also squared off in the 2012 Finals but on different teams.

For Cleveland, it's LeBron James, Kevin Love, Tristan Thompson, Kyrie Irving and J.R. Smith.

While Durant and the Warriors are the favorites in the finals, Durant's chances of chasing James' career are daunting but it does not take away from the historic 2017 matchup feature two of the best forwards in National Basketball Association history.

But after being so close past year and falling short, the Warriors know how hard the next two will be. As the question was asked, Kevin Durant let out a laugh and said "Jeez".
