Parents insist accused leaker not a flight risk

Victor grew up in Kingsville, Texas, and enlisted in the Air Force after graduating from high school.

He contacted the NSA on June 1 to inform the USA agency of his interaction with the reporter from The Intercept.

The 25-year-old federal contractor was charged with leaking information regarding a 2016 Russian military intelligence cyberattack to The Intercept, an online news outlet.

The document that victor allegedly leaked was a report detailing attempts by hackers from Russian military intelligence to penetrate a company that sells voter registration software as well as local election officials. "Reality Leigh Winner is accused of sharing documents with an American media outlet about a topic of public concern, yet the Department of Justice is charging Winner under the Espionage Act, a 100-year-old statute intended for use against spies and saboteurs working on behalf of foreign governments".

The leak investigation was brief, officials say. Winner's mother said her daughter was "terrified" when she returned to her Augusta home Saturday to find armed federal agents waiting for her.

Authorities haven't described the report or named the news outlet.

"I never thought this would be something she would do", Winner-Davis told the Guardian newspaper on Monday.

Victor spent much of that six year career as an air force linguist in Maryland.

The establishment media's reporting on NSA leaker Reality Winner has been skewed at best, and egregiously biased at worst.

Victor headed to Augusta after she left the military. She wrote of wanting to travel to the Middle East and had researched taking a trip to Israel in the fall, the prosecutor said. But the NSA has operated a $286 million complex in Augusta since 2012. The feds now claim Winner's acts of resistance went well beyond critical social media posting. A cached version of the site said the company operated out of an office building in Alexandria, Virginia.

Investigators say they were able to track victor by observing that the document leaked to The Intercept appeared to be folded, which led them to believe it had been printed out.

"She was afraid she was going to disappear, that they were going to make her disappear".

Winners' attorney, Titus Nichols, said in court that the woman's status as a technology savvy millennial is being used unfairly against her.

Cavs try to adjust on both ends after Game 1 beating
It was a triple-double history making night Sunday when the Warriors' beat the Cavaliers 132-113 in Game 2 of the NBA Finals . He wasn't particularly impactful on either end in Game 1 finishing with zero points, four rebounds and a minus-13.

Court documents accuse victor of mailing a classified report written on or about May 5 to an unnamed news organization. "The same is true of the FBI's claims about how it came to arrest victor". He added: "Everyone in America knows what she looks like at this point".

On social media, victor mostly shared glimpses into her life far removed from politics - such as watching Dr.

Her expertise was translating languages spoken in Afghanistan, her family said, and she served six years in the U.S. Air Force as a cryptologic language analyst.

Now, Winner currently lives in Augusta, so that little hint really helped narrow the federal government's scope.

And that's who Reality Winner is.

Her attorney told CNN he was unable to confirm that the Twitter account was Winner's.

Gary Davis, Winner's stepfather, said she turned down a full college scholarship to join the Air Force.

Rajesh De, who served as NSA general counsel during the Snowden affair, however, disagreed, saying that more leaks are coming from contractors simply because there are more contractors to leak. But if those opposed to Trump embrace criminal acts such as the one victor is charged with committing, it's more than yet another breach of civility in a political culture that has already gone haywire. However, it's hard to see anything coming of it unless an inside threat is identified, he said.

"He told me he could not discuss what was going on because much of the information was still classified", Davis said.

- "Outside of work she works as a yoga instructor".

"I know my daughter". "By sheer numbers, more and more incidents will be result of contractor activity".

"She had gone grocery shopping and she had pulled into her driveway there and they pulled in right behind her", Winner-Davis said, "I don't know how many there were she didn't say she said they were fully armed". "They took her by surprise".
