Glen Campbell died on Tuesday due to complications associated with Alzheimer's. I remember once being backstage putting on a camel costume to go on and sing "Ahab the Arab" and he showed up and said 'Well, it's come to this has it?' It's been a long goodbye since his diagnosis with Alzheimer's Disease. said, "Glen Campbell was one of the greatest voices of all time".

Tulsa-based music industry veteran Jim Halsey provided this statement after Campbell's death: "Thank you, Glen Campbell for your treasures and your art that you shared with the multitudes".

"Besides being an awesome solo artist, Glen Campbell was also a genius studio musician - as part of the Wrecking Crew - playing on recordings from The Beach Boys to Frank Sinatra".

Drummer Hal Blaine of the Wrecking Crew told The GuardianCampbell "was one of those great guitarists who could hear a part once and had it down pat".

Campbell was one of country music's greatest crossover artists, from his 1967 Grammy award-winner "" to this 1975 multimillion seller.

"I said 'Glen, why don't you get that thing covered up?' He said 'I'm going to keep that all the time, it will remind me of you.' So that little dagger, now his daughter went and had one put on here", said Edge.

The Country Music Hall of Fame artist released his final album earlier this year titled "Adios". Born in Billstown, Arkansas, Campbell, was the seventh of twelve children, and he learned to play the guitar from his Uncle, who had a band called Dick Bills and the Sandia Mountain Boys. Here is the song he wrote for his wife, "I'm Not Gonna Miss You".
