Feds investigating plane crash in suburban Phoenix home

Fire officials in the USA suburb of Gilbert say the people in the plane were all able to eject before the aircraft crashed onto a house.

Gilbert fire officials tell us the pilot ejected and was not seriously hurt.

The Latest on a small plane crashing into a suburban Phoenix home (all times local): 9:40 a.m.

Police said the pilot was transported to a hospital for burns.

According to Hildebrandt, the plane's occupants were able bail out and parachute to safety before the aircraft struck the house.

The plane was carrying skydivers for the Constitution Fair, a yearly event which celebrates the United States Constitution.

Four skydivers and a pilot had a lucky escape after their plane crashed into a house in Arizona and burst into flames.

Footage also showed the Gilbert couple's house on fire, as well as major damage left in the crash's wake.

He was reported to have suffered burns and was hospitalized.
